Oh the times

Match.com says: 1 in 5 relationships starts online.. and I just got a zupplement to zat zurprise. Earier I was just toolin' around on the web and rememerbed freakin' LiveJournal! I had to remember how to get on there, I had to laugh at my eigth grade self. Now maybe LiveJournal is not as obselete as I am percieving it, but I literally haven't been on it since I was fourteen. So I get in, laughing...laughing some more.. But the technology aspect of it totally hit me right on the head. This shit was like the ELITE way to convey to others what you were doing, what you liked.. without a "like" button. No instructions, just write your dreary depressing thoughts, tell me what mood your in, and what song you are listening to. That's it. I'm reading this thing, and I'm talking about weirdos IMing me in chat rooms for christs sake. Random people on AIM would literally just IM you with the always clever and inticing: A/S/L? HAHAHA If right now, after this, I signed onto facebook and had some unknown message me and say A/S/L, I would automatically assume they are at the very least a level two sex offender. And I would think it would be the other way around.. less information out there about you and your friends before, yet you chat it up with uncle ernie the kidnapper while your writing your vocabulary sentences. Now ya can know anything you want as long as you got a name, but half your friends on Facebook wouldn't even say hi to you if they saw you on the street. One blurb from one of my long lost LiveJournal entries: "Ever since I got a profile picture on yahoo, so many weirdos have been messaging me!" Keep in mind that picture probably took two hours to upload. And I am not an old fart but this internet shit snuck up on me, even though I am quite hip to how to run it, the ling-gwwwoo. GTM.. That's the newest one (giggle to myself) Word, your giggling to yourself? Then keep it to yourself what the fuck do I need to know your laughing at yourself for? Oh right cause maybe we'll get married cause we just bantered a bit with each other on the web.
